米カルフォルニア州パサデナ出身のファンク〜R&B系プロデューサー／ミュージシャン、Damon G. Riddickのプロジェクト、Dâm-Funk（デイム・ファンク）が、『Invite the Light』の全曲試聴をNPR Musicでスタートしました。『Invite the Light』は、Dâm-Funkが9/4にStones Throwからリリースするニュー・アルバムです。
本人が“自伝的なコンセプト・アルバム”だと語る新作『Invite the Light』は、2009年のデビュー・アルバム『Toeachizown』以来となるオリジナル・ソロ作品で、Q-Tip、Junie Morrison (Ohio Players)、Ariel Pink、Flea、Snoop Dogg、Leon Sylvers III & IVらが参加。ボーナス・トラックを含めると計20曲収録というボリューム満点の内容となっています。なお、Dâm-Funkは、今作に先立ちフリー・ダウンロードEP『STFU』もリリースしてますよ。
